Our Church History

            When the raging storms of life come and our ship, now bearing the battle scars from battles past, is tossed from side to side, the child of God patiently waits and renews his strength and listens humbly to what his master has to say. 

            At that time when the insurmountable difficulties testing our vessel were at their greatest, our faith in Him was the strongest. Holding on to His promises, and knowing that all things worked together for good to them that love Him, the United Church of God Global Ministries came to realization.  At its inception, with nothing except God to lean on, we had the solemn belief we had everything. As the prophets in biblical times have relied on Him when no one was there to depend upon, we turned to Him, and in His grace, we found everything and more than what we need. Under the leadership of Pastor Rolando Soria Luzan, along with the saints who are willing to continue and support the ministry, the United Church of God Global Ministries was envisioned.

Rolando Soria Luzan has been a pioneering pastor who is faithful and fervent in his service as a minister. The establishment of a good number of churches under the banner of the Bible Holiness Church of God in various parts of the Philippines and the number of souls who have come to know the Lord through his ministry serves to prove his dedication to his mission. The following congregations and the years they were established are hereunder enumerated: Osias, Kabacan, Cotabato (1982), Brookspoint, Baguio City (1987), Naguilian, La Union (1991), Cadiz, Umingan, Pangasinan (1994), Amaronan, Umingan, Pangasinan (1994) Ilagan, Isabela (1998) and Calitlitan, Umingan, Pangasinan (2005).

            A child of God who is faithful will courageously obey when the Master gives the signal to go. Knowing his Master's command, Brother Luzan continued to carry his call despite continuous adversity and opposition. Having no wealth to boast of but believing that God will provide, there was no way then that the dire circumstances and persecution could prevent him from launching his vision. The decision to branch out came about such a time.

            The favor of God is to be proven not long after, for in October 2005 a chapel was erected in Calitlitan, Umingan, Pangasinan by God's guiding hand and provision. Presently, God's word is being preached in four (4) active congregations consistently growing and reaching out to those in dire spiritual need.  With its reinforced vision, the church now aims to explore horizons not just in the Philippines but in other parts of the world.
